Stop the Policy of Making Enemies and Let Us Become Spiritual Again in Order to Understand the Universe
By Abbey Mikha
The astounding human race should be united because we are all one and we are all more alike than we are different. We need to increase our knowledge of one another as nations and be educated about each other’s cultures in order to eradicate the discrimination that exists in the world, and in order to see each other all as special. We should never judge by outer characteristics which all are part of illusion because when looking at people we should try to understand their soul and not what we think they appear to be. This is one of the first steps in becoming more spiritual for those who judge by the physical are stuck in that mentality.
If African American women tend to have a mixture of facial features between Ghanaian and Nigerian that is wonderful isn’t it? We do not need to change our features to look more American or European. We are all beautiful, exceptional, and perfect. It does not matter whether we have black, brown, or blond hair, and it does not matter if it is thin, straight, thick, or curly. We might be blond, tall, white, blue or gray-eyed, and of Polish or German origin and that is also impeccable. People categorized as Asians are physically different in some ways from people of European lineage. In almost all cases Asians have straight, black hair and dark eyes where sometimes there is no crease visible. Some people change their features cosmetically in order to look more like others of other cultures or perhaps even like actors from Hollywood. I believe this is wrong and there are these ideas circulating the Earth about “beauty” which are making young people of various cultures all around the world feel like they are not worthy.
People of my Assyrian culture are light-mid olive, white, darker olive, and also brown in color. Some have green, blue, brown and black eyes. The issue of Assyrians is that many women and men of my culture try to cosmetically change their noses in order to look more American, or like famous men and women in the world. The sad thing though is that many times the operations are not even successful.
While the world continues to be seduced by beauty, waist size, breast size, and what society proposes through the mainstream media and the system of teaching of the world which manipulates the thinking of humans, the spaceship we are on called Earth is spinning and becoming of age. Scientists are searching for other Earths so that in the future humans could try to travel to such a place when the Earth cannot house us anymore. If human beings started to accept each other and the policy of making enemies in the world was changed because it is based on trivial matters we could all as a human race communally work together in order to explore the universe and understand what seems to be so vast and not comprehensible but necessary for our survival in the future. The issue of spirituality on earth must also be addressed because when we are trying to understand the universe in only a physical sense we may not be able to get to where we want to go.
In the next sections I will explore former professor of physics and astronomy Geoff Marcy’s thoughts, the astronomy from the dawn and beginning of civilization on Earth, countries that America considers as enemies, and one solution worldwide education for everyone and a global desire to understand our universe not just in a physical sense but also spiritually. In my mind these issues are all interrelated and important in regards to finding new Earths and space travel.
Former Professor of Physics and Astronomy Geoff Marcy’s Thoughts:
In professor Geoff Marcy’s interesting talk called, “Astrobiology and Space Exploration” which I came across at the Open Culture website , the issue of finding Earth like planets in the universe was discussed with his students at the university of Berkeley. Following is a summary of what this previous professor examined and tried to express.
Aristotle thought that the Earth is at the center of the universe. There were other philosophers like Democritus and Epicures who disagreed with Aristotle. They believe that there are many Earths, which had civilizations upon them, which come and go. These philosophers were banished to Athens because they contradicted Aristotle.
Key question, which astronomers consider is, “Are there are any habitable planets other than the Earth in the universe?” The Earth is 4.6 billions years old. Life started fast on Earth. Perhaps organic chemistry just like on Earth leads to life in other worlds as well? Question asked is, “Is intelligent life common?” There is some optimism that life might be common in the universe but Darwinian evolution is yet to be proven. We still he said only know one proven example of life and that is the Earth. He said that we have not detected life on other planets not even in our own solar system. I’m not certain about this assertion as there are many people who believe that there is life on other planets!
Other questions considered is, “Does all life need water or is it all based on DNA? Can other beings or intelligent life thrive on other types of liquids? The search for life is the main issue of Biologists, Chemists, and Astronomers currently. There are currently missions to Mars by NASA and the European counterpart ESA. The surface of Mars is dry and cold but beneath the surface there is water. The moons of Saturn called Europa and Io have the possibility to be habitable. There are going to be missions to these.
Something I was disappointed in is that professor Geoff Marcy said that he is 99.9 % sure that there are no other beings in the universe with the same technology as human beings. He said, “There are no great civilizations living on the moon.” He said that we have to venture outside of our galaxy into the Milky Way galaxy to look for intelligent life. The Milky Way galaxy is comprised of two hundred billion stars, which are a hundred thousand light-years across. Physical formation processes that created the earth might exist in other parts of the universe.
“How can you hunt for planets around other stars,” he also questioned. You may point the Hubble Space Telescope to see planets around the star. Watch the star and gravitational pull by planet. Wait for a planet to cross in front of star blocking stars light. “How long is an earth around a star?” Planets by definition do not generate their own energy. Earth does not have a nuclear reaction going on in the center. The earth is pretty faint. If we were to observe our earth from outer space the earth would be one tenth a billionth as bright as the sun. The Earth and the sun are close together as seen from outer space so detecting the Earth is going to be challenging at best. It is like trying to detect a firefly next to a searchlight or lighthouse, which is very hard to do. Therefore finding Earths is difficult. Even with the Hubble we do not have the technology to detect Earths on nearby planets.
Second way to detect planets is that they move by wobbling to gravitational pull by other planets. We can detect the wobble of a star, which is caused by the gravitational pull of the planets. We need telescopes to look or hunt for planets like for example the Keck telescope. We have not found a planet of the Earth’s mass.
Most likely way to find planets is by looking for the dimming of stars. As an Earth crosses in front of those stars it blocks a small fraction of the starlight. Through Kepler telescope we should be able to find other Earths because of the dimming.
What professor Geoff Marcy may not have realized is that we may even be able to travel the universe if we search our soul. We have more spiritual power than we think and the way to other planets may not just be to physically travel there. This frantic search for others Earths has more to do with spirituality than we think.
Astronomy from the Dawn and Beginning of Civilization on Earth:
The epic of creation called the “Enuma Elish” which was found in the library of the famous Assyrian king Ashurbanipal at Nineveh is a very interesting ancient story or documentation of the memory of universal and earthly events in ancient times. It makes us wonder if life on Earth was exported from somewhere else in the universe. The first part of the Enuma Elish states:
“When on high the heaven had not been named,
Firm ground below had not been called by name,
When primordial Apsu, their begetter,
And Mummu-Tiamat, she who bore them all,
Their waters mingled as a single body,
No reed hut had sprung forth, no marshland had appeared,
None of the gods had been brought into being,
And none bore a name, and no destinies determined-“
Could these first few sentences have been the equivalent of what scientists call “The Big Bang?” The Big Bang theory is the most fundamental scientific cosmology for the cosmos nowadays. The Bible also repeats these sentiments in Genesis where it states:
[1:1] In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,
[1:2] the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
[1:3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light…
The modern country Iraq was not always called by this imprecise name. Actually it was the base of ancient and advanced civilizations such as the Sumerian, Assyrian, and Babylonian. These civilizations wrote in cuneiform and kept records of life from the beginning of progression on Earth, which scholars were later able to translate and read. There are also stories written down on cuneiform about life in another planet. There is literature, mathematics, astronomy, laws, music, and essentially the peoples of these early civilizations wrote about everything concerning life on Earth. They also looked up into the sky and wondered about the cosmos and heaven as we are doing right now and as future human beings will always continue to do.
The Enuma Elish names two gods at the beginning: Apsu and Tiamat. They have offspring some of which become very powerful and determined. Various rivalries arise. One god decides to take over the Earth, and assigns some other regions to various supporters and beaten rivals. The sky and the underground world also are allocated. Gods became slaves when they lost to this main god but then he decides to create humans to do all the work originally left for gods. The ancient civilizations in Mesopotamia mainly Sumer, Assyria, and Babylon believed in omens and used astrology as a way to know what heaven wanted to happen on Earth. The planetary observations these ancient peoples made were later used by other later civilizations such as the Greeks. They were accurate. The Sumerians, Assyrians, and Babylonians used much meticulousness and accuracy and progressive mathematics and they were supreme observers. Mostly they were concerned about how the motions of planets related to the happenings on Earth. They wanted the power of the heavens to defeat their enemies.
Countries that America Considers As Enemies:
Do you have enemies? I want to give this example of America because it is a super power, which affects the life of the peoples of the entire Earth through economy, wars, and media. Americans consider the following countries as enemies. “According to the poll, half as many Americans now view Iran as their greatest enemy from just two years ago. The current rankings now show China (20%) at the top, followed closely by North Korea (16%) and Iran (16%). From there, it trails off to Russia (9%), Iraq (7%), Afghanistan (5%), Syria (3%) — and the United States itself (2%). “
The simple truth is that those who create policy in America control the minds of the public by creating these enemies. Why should any nation be an enemy? At one point in time Vietnam was considered an enemy of America. Why were the poor people of Vietnam perceived as an enemy? America destroyed that country and the horrors of the war were documented.
Enemies are created when we cannot find common ground. We need to change the mentality of people to understand that the interests and policies of super powers such as those in America who create the policy of “enemies” especially in the mainstream media, which a small percentage of them own are wrong.
Learn the language of friendship once again as individuals and as a human race and reach out to those of other cultures. We are so deceived and concentrating our life on trivial things like the accumulation of wealth and having fun that we forget the important things in life like peace of mind and humanities emotional and spiritual development. When will the hatred stop so that we can all explore the universe together not just in a physical sense but also spiritually?
One Solution World Wide Education for Everyone and a Global Desire to Grow in Spirituality:
In conclusion there needs to be education about world cultures ancient and modern from a young age in schools all around the Earth so that we can start to understand each other. It is very necessary and the curriculum and system all around the world should be changed to require this. This type of learning must be profound and true and a desire to tell the story of the nations upon the earth from the beginning of civilization to the children of the Earth and all people of the Earth. The brainwashing must be reversed. At that time when all is clear peoples and nations can also concentrate on the education of their children to develop many more future Astronomers and Astronauts in order for space programs and space travel to become more advanced and so that we may be able to find new Earths. We may be surprised though that when we teach our children to become spiritual they will be able to figure out this universal matrix and how to connect to it.
Until issues are dealt with like the spreading of the knowledge that super powers such as America create enemies, and until regular folks humiliate the administrations of the world and the elite by having an open mind in regards to others and not be brainwashed. Then the human race collectively will be able to take larger steps forward in regards to space travel. It is like a stumbling block. Until we put out our hands together and come together as a human race and touch each other’s hearts and souls and accept each other we will never move forward.
Educational development, which needs to take place in regards to peoples and cultures, will aid in much more progress. If we do not understand each other we will never be able to understand our universe much more, and find for ourselves a new home perhaps in some place in the universe where we could all visit and all be welcome.
Most probably when we continue to explore the universe we will realize as a human race that we cannot understand the universe until we become spiritual and enlightened again. Trying to understand the universe in a physical sense has proven to be difficult and maybe perhaps unfulfilling. We may be able to reach the moon by spaceship but there are those who can travel to other planets with their soul. Nonetheless, we must stop the hatred on Earth and the policy of making “enemies.” We are not enemies rather we are all children of light when we connect to our core.
