The USA invaded Iraq in 2003 because the administration needed a war for the world and Middle East agenda. This war eventually brought about the rise of ISIS in Mosul and Syria after Obama withdrew the American Army from Iraq. Now the world community which had a hand in what happened should be the same countries and administrations that help to free Mosul which is holy Nineveh. United States, England, Italy, Holland, Australia, Japan, Poland, Spain, Denmark, and all those involved need to yield a helping hand to Mosul which is again holy Nineveh.
I do not understand many things in this life, and I’m the type of human being who believes it does not make sense to make wars unless it is to relieve suffering. The human race needs to understand that we need to start working together. We should not be enemies as peoples and nations. We do not need to be better than each other. Rather we can be equals. And we should be happy being alike.
The world needs to work on peace and strategies to afford free education for students around the world. Also, free health care is very important like it is provided in Canada. The alleviation of food shortage which believe it or not still exists in the world should be dealt with. And we also need to advance our approaches in preservation of our Earth environment. These and other issues are what we should be concerned with. Unfortunately right now while the world community could be working to solve these kinds of problems we rather have to deal with ISIS. How in the name of God can we destroy this movement? And how do we know that in the future another group of people will not come together to make hell on earth like ISIS has done. They have killed everyone. They have raped men, women, and children. These people are beasts and everyone knows they are a tool for big powers in the world. Ask yourself who is behind them and who has benefited from them?
Everyone knows that when the USA brought their army to Iraq they were not just looking for “weapons of mass destruction.” Rather, they were sneaking, destroying, and selling Assyrian artefacts and stealing our facts and technology. They say whoever controls Iraq controls the world and maybe that is what they were trying to achieve. Was it worth it?
Al Bagdadi and the likes of him were in custody in Iraq with the American intelligence but they were mostly all released and given space to reorganize themselves in the militia called ISIS. And look at the terror they have spread!
Now enough is enough. The world community needs to start working and working hard to alleviate the suffering of the people of Mosul which is holy Nineveh. What has been done to the people in Iraq has been called genocide. Genocide in 2017 you may ask? Yes, my Assyrian people are being annihilated in the North of Iraq and in the Mosul, Nineveh region. We are treated as lower level human beings, almost as slaves. A Kurdish person online told me once that the Kurds want to make the Assyrians their slaves because the Assyrians once made the Jews slaves in Assyria. That is something that may have happened in ancient times, but who can prove this is absolute truth and what the situation was. Are these people making up stories? This proves there is a secret agenda after the Assyrians. They won’t allow the Assyrians to establish themselves! When I was in university my professor Dr. Pinto, when hearing that I was Assyrian said, “Isn’t that where the Kurds are today.” Flustered I answered him, “Yes in the North of Iraq.”
The United States thought that it was going to be able to divide Iraq, but this country is not an easy game to play. If Iraq was to be divided what will happen exactly? Will the south go to the Shiaa, the central to the Sunni, and the north to the Kurds? Ask yourself what will then happen to the Assyrians? What will happen to our towns and villages? What will happen to our culture and language? Is this the way to treat the Assyrians after we have served humanity?
The Kurds are occupiers and deceivers. They are not from the North of Iraq and there are billions of documents to prove this. They are nomads who come from Mahabad, Iran and Afghanistan. Not only are they stealing the land of a people which does not belong to them, they are trying make it seem as the Assyrians occupied their land which is a historical lie. Maybe the Kurds are so well thought of by Americans, Canadians, and the rest of the western world especially Israel because the world community has accepted the genocide against the Natives which wiped out millions upon millions of people. It was the largest genocide the world has ever seen and it is barely mentioned in history books, classrooms, and over the dinner table. This is our land they say. The Natives died from war and disease they say. This is our right they say. And this mentality is the problem. This aggressiveness is what is destroying regions, nations, and individuals.
I pray for peace on Earth. I pray that peoples of all nations can live together in the world in harmony and help each other. I also pray for peace for the Assyrians in Nineveh and all Assyria. I request that the Assyrians will be taken earnestly and given their human rights and allowed to prosper in their own homeland. I plead with the world community to know more about the Assyrians and to realize what a beautiful culture they have and that it should be helped and progressed so that the Assyrians may stand on their own two feet in the near future, and so that we can help the world also deal with its difficulties.
Tomorrow is April 1st. It is the Assyrian New Year 6767. This is the best time to start to read about the Assyrians. Look up about the festivities online. Find out what is happening in the North of Iraq at this time. Keep the Assyrian people in your heart for they have suffered greatly. Peoples of all nations are your friends. Assyrians are your friends. The Assyrians unfortunately have little influence. The best thing the world community can do is to arm the Assyrians so that at least we would have the hope to defend ourselves if we are attacked again. And by the way April 1st is not April fools rather it is the April of the Assyrian New Year, of the people who celebrate and dance the dances from thousands of years ago....

I love my ancient Assyrian nation and its aspirations and dreams,...
As the lady from Alqosh, Zerineh, and Mardin.
Today I remember the god of the moon Nanna (Sin),
The father of Inanna the Queen.
Tomorrow is the Assyrian New Year.
The Enuma Elish in our hearts the ancient story so dear.
Day by day everything will become clear.
No more fear, no more fear!
Our people must be allowed to reconnect to their land and celebrate.
And we must stop and change the hate.
Love shall again in Assyria rule the hearts,
And the spirit and feelings will spread in all parts.
Assyrians are the treasures of Assyria.
"The work of His hands.”
One day our capacity as a nation will spread through the land,
And Assyria will be on the map again.
No one will say no to us then.
When we stand together,
We will rise as Assyrians forever.
Happy Assyrian New Year!
I wish I was there!

Assyrians have been celebrating the Assyrian New Year for 6767 years according to recorded history. This event is usually celebrated in parades and parties all over the world. Some of the most beautiful festivities are held in Nineveh and our entire homeland Assyria. Men, women, and children wear traditional clothes and dance for hours to folkloric Assyrian music while waving beautiful Assyrian flags. There is a lot of joy and laughter, but also tears after our nation and the world has become nations of refugees. People around the world are fleeing their homes to find other places to raise their children and build families. We as a world community still need to construct and preserve peace, but it seems those in power still believe in funding of evil wars that destroy nations, communities, families, and the lives of innocent children. Meanwhile in Assyria Assyrians still celebrate and always will because it is their tradition and because these festivities connect our soul to our ancient memories and to the heart of the Assyrian culture.
All Assyrians around the world have dreams, but there is a difference between the dreams of those Assyrians who live in diaspora and those Assyrians who live in the homeland. In the homeland our people have been living under a lot of stress and turmoil. They live in a war zone and their Assyrian land is occupied. They live in a country with an uncertain future. They live by the prayer, “Give us this day our daily bread” without knowing what will happen tomorrow. They live by faith.
Assyrian people outside of the homeland are concerned with their families, businesses, careers, school, and relationships. Their future is intertwined with the societies in which they live in whether it’s Canada, The United States, Australia, and or Europe. These Assyrians live a good life for the most part. For this reason they should be concerned about our Assyrian people living in the Assyrian homeland. These are our brothers and sisters and we need to build more and more bridges to help support them as much as possible.
6767 is the Assyrian New Year to be with your families. Keep those you love close to you and remember nothing is ever promised in life. There are various pictures coming from the Assyrian homeland of children in distress and in tears. They are lost and not because they have done anything wrong or bad but just because they happen to be Assyrians living onour own land Assyria, which is occupied by the Kurds and others, in a country full of chaos and pain where everyone wants the land to themselves. We need to support our people! We need to wake up as a diaspora. We need to do everything in our power to help. You may be even a person living with a disability and just have a computer and an internet connection, but you can still spread awareness. Anyone with love in their heart can help. Yes we can still spread love. It does not matter what the Babylonian new year was and little miniscule dates such as those to make more divisions between our people because we all know that the people who today call themselves Chaldeans are also the descendants of the ancient Assyrians.
I want to wish everyone a happy Assyrian New Year. May our Assyrian nation be blessed and not just survive the crimes against humanity that they have been facing but also thrive especially in the Assyrian homeland. May the turmoil that Assyria is suffering right now and has suffered turn into vindication for the children of Assyria. May the Assyrian diaspora rise up and defend their Assyrian people in the homeland and defend their land. Our power is in putting our hands and minds together. Our power is in the strength and ancientness of our civilization. As the Queen Zenobia once said to the Romans, “You may have the civilization of power, but we have the power of civilization.”
